When I saw this new movie that I have been awaiting for the last 16 years, I was completely blown away. As soon as I got out of the theater I went to the store and picked up all the new models I could find. Needless to say, there were very little to choose from... 3 in all and I got all three.

This model was one of the easiest models I've ever put together. All metal, nice and shiny, very little painting. A good model for beginners.

The painting required is the droid and the pilot/cockpit. Nothing flashy. I'm surprised that they didn't make the pieces "pre-painted" here either!

The only thing I was disappointed in was because of the weight of the model I ended up dropping it twice breaking off the tips of the engine ends. And during the assembly of the bottom half, the tail end snapped off. The problem with metal is it doesn't respond very well to glue.

But when the model is complete you get a very nice model. The decals were pretty easy to attach and the final results were pretty nice. I recommend this model to any beginner looking to get started!
